On the afternoon of November 14, the opening ceremony of the Yiwu Administrative Office of the Bulgarian Chinese Chamber for Industrial Development and the “China (Yiwu)-Bulgaria” Economic & Trade Matchmaking Meeting were held. The Executive Deputy Director of the Bulgarian Investment Agency Ms Madzhide Ahmedova with the delegation, The member of the Standing Committee and Vice Mayor Mr. Li Junfu,; The vice Chairwoman of Yiwu CPPCC Ms. Yang Guifang and other leaders of Yiwu Municipal People’s Government participated.

At the scene, the Bulgarian Chinese Chamber for Industrial Development Yiwu Administrative Office was officially inaugurated. This is the first national-level office of chamber established in Yiwu. The Bulgarian Chinese Chamber for Industrial Development was established in 2015 and registered in Sofia. It is committed to providing service for Chinese companies in Bulgaria and Bulgarian companies with policies, information consultation, investment and financing, legal rights protection, cultural and sports exchanges, forum salons, public relations coordination, etc..

It is known that the trade volume between Yiwu and Bulgaria reached US$64.66 million in 2017. From January to September this year, the total volume of imports and exports reached US$52.92 million, up 10.11% year-on-year. Next, the Bulgarian Chinese Chamber for Industrial Development Yiwu Administrative Office will provide various services and support for Chinese companies operating in Yiwu, and will also provide agent entry and exit visa services for Chinese companies under the authorization of the Bulgarian Ambassador in China. It will effectively promote Yiwu and Bulgaria & Central and Eastern European countries to expand trade activities with each other.

In the trade matchmaking meeting, 12 companies from Yiwu and 15 companies from Bulgaria negotiated in the fields of tourism, import and export trade. During in Yiwu period, the Bulgarian delegation also visited the International Trade City to learn more about the development of Yiwu’s economic, trade, tourism and other developments.
